24-month application forecast - A list of applications expected to be submitted to the AUC.
Bonnyville to Bourque transmission - ATCO Electric Ltd. application to construct and operate an electric transmission line north of Bonnyville, Alberta.
CAMPUT Benchmarking Survey - Initiative to collect benchmarking data from regulated electric distribution and transmission utilities in Canada.
Eastern Alberta Transmission Line project (EATL) - The construction of a 500-kilovolt high-voltage direct-current transmission line between the Gibbons and Redwater area northeast of Edmonton and the Brooks area southeast of Calgary.
Foothills Area Transmission Development (FATD) - Applications have been received by the AUC regarding a proposed electrical transmission project in southeast Calgary, Okotoks and Hig River areas.
Heartland Transmission project - The application identifies the proposed Heartland 12S substation, a preferred route and an alternate route for a proposed 500-kV double-circuit transmission line 1206L/1212 along with several local alternate route sections for both the preferred and alternate routes. The application further identifies a preferred route and two alternate routes for proposed 240-kV double-circuit transmission line 1054L/1061L.
IFRS - The adoption of IFRS is expected to change the manner in which utilities perform their accounting and report their financial results, and have implications on the Commission’s regulatory accounting and rate making process.
Rule 024 - Micro-Generation - Albertans can generate their own environmentally friendly electricity and receive credit for any power they send into the electricity grid.
Performance-based Regulation - The AUC has released Decision 2012-237 which applies incentives, or performance-based regulation, to Alberta's provincially regulated distribution utilities.
Items Related to Future Proceedings - Correspondence the AUC has recieved on matters that are expected to be dealt with in future proceedings before the Commission.
Special Inquiries - The AUC will use the information, submissions and consultations gathered from its inquiries to prepare reports to Alberta’s Minister of Energy on the inquiries.
Uniform System of Accounts & Minimum Filing Requirements (USA & MFR) - Implementation of a USA for Transmission Facility Owners and Distribution Facility Owners.
Urban Pipeline Replacement - ATCO Pipelines application proposing to replace some existing high-pressure gas pipelines and build new high-presure gas pipelines in the transportation and utility corridors within Calgary and Edmonton
VLTrader software implementation - AUC facilitates retail natural gas and electricity industry move to improved and modernized managed file-transfer software for market transactions.
Western Alberta Transmission Line project (WATL) - The construction of a high-voltage direct-current transmission line with a northern terminal in the vicinity of the existing Keephills and Genesee generating units west of Edmonton and the southern terminal at the existing Langdon 102S substation east of Calgary.
