Overview
The AUC issued Decision 23981-D01-2019 approving the ENMAX Home Road Transmission Line Replacement Project application.
ENMAX Power Corporation applied to remove
and replace seven steel-lattice transmission line structures along a one-kilometre
segment of double-circuit transmission line 69-15.62L and 21.61L located on Home Road N.W. in Calgary between
the ENMAX No. 15 Substation and 32 Avenue N.W.
The
structures will be replaced with self‑supporting steel monopoles within the
existing transmission line alignment and will range from 25 to 35 metres in height.
The AUC held a public hearing from September 10-12 to review the applications and submissions received in Proceeding 23981. The AUC issued a notice of application for the ENMAX Transmission Line Replacement Project on January 31, 2019.
The
replacement monopole structures will be located within approximately five
metres of
the existing steel-lattice structures with the exception of pole 69-15.62-19,
which would be 45 metres north of the existing location near 17 Avenue N.W.
