NextEra Canada Development & Acquisitions, Inc. (NextEra) advised the AUC on October 16, 2019, that several factors had changed since the submission of its amendment and that it longer wishes to pursue the Heritage Wind Farm Power Plant application. NextEra indicated that it would consider submitting a new application in the future.

Overview
The Heritage Wind Farm Power Plant was originally approved in Decision 2011-239 on June 2, 2011. It had an expected in-service date of May 30, 2014.
NextEra Canada Development & Acquisitions, Inc. submitted an application on March 30, 2018, to amend Permit and Licence 22315-D02-2017. The AUC issued a notice of application on May 3, 2018.

The project would require connection to the grid including a modification to the Fidler 312S Substation and a 240 kV transmission line.
