Rule 017: Procedures and Process for Development of ISO Rules and Filing of ISO Rules with AUC
April 1, 2010
Rule 017 sets out the steps for the development of new or amended ISO rules. The rule requires the Alberta Electric System Operator (independent system operator) to
engage stakeholders (market participants) before new rules are submitted or current rules are amended and submitted to the AUC for approval. The rule also includes a process that allows market participants to file objections to a new or amended rule, and have the objections considered by the AUC before the rule is approved.
Previous versions of this rule and rule consultations can be found on the Rule 017 consultation page.
