The Yellowhead Application Notice of Hearing was issued on November 17, 2009 indicating that a hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. The location of the hearing is the Lakeview Inn & Suites, 4302 50 Steet, Drayton Valley, AB. Notice about this proposed development was published in various newspapers in the area and direct notification was sent to landowners and residents in and around Wabamun, Drayton Valley, Hinton and Edson.

The North-Central Application Notice of Hearing was issued on November 18, 2009 indicating that a hearing was scheduled for Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Notice about this proposed development was published in various newspapers in the area and direct notification was sent to landowners and residents in and around High Prairie, Swan Hills and Slave Lake. As no objections to the applications were received by the intervention deadlin of January 8, 2010, and because the Commission was satisfied that a public hearing is not required to complete the record on either application, the Commission cancelled the schduled hearing on February 5, 2010 through a Notice of Hearing Cancellation.
