The ISO is required to file ISO rules and expedited ISO rules with the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC), under sections 20.2 and 20.6 of the
Electric Utilities Act and Rule 017 of the AUC Rules. A market participant may object to an ISO rule under Section 20.4 of the
Electric Utilities Act, or complain about an ISO rule under Section 25 of the
Electric Utilities Act. The ISO is also required to file ISO rules under section 20.5 of the Electric Utilities Act in accordance with directions from the AUC.

Filing an application
eFiling System User Guide
Go to the
eFiling System and select
Applications from top navigation menu then enter the following:
- Division: “Markets”- Application Category: “Markets - Rules”- Application Status: “Active” if looking for current applications or "Closed"/"Decided" for historic applications
Go to the
Decisions section or go to the
Advanced Search section and search for "Decisions" and enter "Markets" in the Division field.
