The Alberta Utilities Commission conducts consultations with market participants and interested parties on matters related to aspects of the Alberta energy markets from time to time. The following is a chronology of the consultations held to date:

March 2017

The AUC released Bulletin 2017-03 on March 8, 2017, and stakeholder comments from consultations regarding the AUC's enforcement policy and practices.

January 2016

The AUC released Bulletin 2016-01 on January 28, 2016, approving amendments to AUC Rule 027: Specified Penalties for Contravention of Reliability Standards effective March 1, 2016.

November 2015

The AUC released Bulletin 2015-18 on November 12, 2015, approving amendments to AUC Rule 019: Specified Penalties for Contravention of ISO Rules effective December 7, 2015.

February 2015

The AUC released Bulletin 2015-04 on February 26, 2015, approving amendments to AUC Rule 027: Specified Penalties for Contravention of Reliability Standards effective March 1, 2015.

December 2014

The AUC released Bulletin 2014-16 on December 5, 2014, approving amendments to AUC Rule 019: Specified Penalties for Contravention of ISO rules effective January 1, 2015.

The AUC released Bulletin 2013-014 on April 29, 2013, approving amendments to version seven, effective January 8, 2013 and the current version of AUC Rule 019: Specified Penalties for Contravention of ISO rules effective February 1, 2013.

The AUC released Bulletin 2012-20 on December 21, 2012, making expedited changes to AUC Rule 019: Specified Penalties for Contravention of ISO Rules and inviting comments from market participants and other interested parties regarding the expedited and other proposed changes to AUC Rule 019.
 
The AUC released Bulletin 2012-15, inviting comments from market participants and interested parties to comment on suggested changes identified in the redline version of Rule 027: Specified Penalties for Contravention of Reliability Standards.

November 2012

The AUC received stakeholder comments from several parties in response to Bulletin 2012-12 regarding proposed changes to AUC Rule 013: Criteria Relating to the Imposition of Administrative Penalties.
 
October 2012

The AUC released Bulletin 2012-12 on October 12, 2012, inviting comments from market participants and interested parties regarding the application of AUC Rule 013: Criteria Relating to the Imposition of Administrative Penalties to contraventions of Alberta reliability standards.

April 2012
 
The AUC released Bulletin 2012-06 on April 4, 2012, approving the process and procedures adopted by the Commission with respect to the process and procedures for disputed specified penalties and administrative penalties relating to reliability standards.

December 2011
 
The AUC released Bulletin 2011-28, approving changes to AUC Rule 019: Specified Penalties for Contravention of ISO Rules and provided responses to stakeholder feedback in the stakeholder comment response matrix. For assistance the Commission has provided a link to a redlined version of AUC Rule 019.

November 2011
 
The AUC released Bulletin 2011-26 on November 16, 2011, inviting comments from market participants and interested parties regarding the process and procedures for disputed specified penalties and administrative penalties relating to reliability standards.

October 2011

The AUC released Bulletin 2011-22 on October 17, 2011. The bulletin concludes the stakeholder consultation regarding Market Surveillance Administrator settlement applications before the AUC.
 
The AUC released Bulletin 2011-21 on October 6, 2011. The bulletin concludes the stakeholder consultation regarding the process and procedure for reliability standard proceedings.

August 2011
 
The AUC received stakeholder comments from several parties in response to Bulletin 2011-17  regarding proposed changes to AUC Rule 019: Specified Penalties for Contravention of ISO Rules.

The AUC released Bulletin 2011-16 on June 30, 2011. Attached to Bulletin 2011-16 is a discussion paper on standing. The AUC invited comments and feedback from market participants on the issues identified in the context of the discussion paper on standing written by David Mullan.
