The Alberta Utilities Commission has commenced a second stage review
proceeding, Proceeding 24325, to consider the concept of an anomaly adjustment
and to consider the type(s) of anomaly adjustment(s) to be permitted, in
accordance with Decision 20414-D01-2016. The AUC issued a notice of second stage review for this proceeding on February 14, 2019. This proceeding applies to all natural gas and electric distribution utilities that are regulated by the AUC.
The AUC will be hosting a roundtable discussion session in the William Andrew Grieve Hearing Room in its Calgary office, beginning September 18 at 9 a.m. The discussion will consider:
definition of an anomaly, having regard for Decision 20414-D01-2016.
criteria that may be used to assess applied-for anomaly adjustments for the
purposes of establishing 2018 going-in rates.
