The Alberta Utilities Commission is currently considering a project from EDP Renewables SH Project GP Ltd. to construct a wind power plant named the Sharp Hills Wind Farm near Sedalia, Alberta. The AUC will be holding a hearing on June 4, 2018 to review the applications and submissions received, as indicated by the notice of revised hearing location issued on March 21, 2018.
The applications and submissions received can be accessed through the eFiling System and going to Proceeding 22665.
The Sharp Hills Wind Farm would consist of 83 wind turbines, each rated at 3.6 megawatts, an electrical collector system, a substation referred to as Sedalia 363S Substation and associated wind power plant components.
The Sharp Hills Wind Farm is proposed to be located in Special Areas 3 and 4, within Townships 31 to 33 and Ranges 4 to 6, west of the Fourth Meridian, near Sedalia, Alberta. The Sedalia 363S Substation is proposed to be located in the southwest quarter of Section 16, Township 32, Range 5, west of the Fourth Meridian.
