The Alberta Utilities Commission is currently considering a project from EDP Renewables SH Project GP Ltd. to construct a wind power plant named the Sharp Hills Wind Farm near Sedalia, Alberta. The AUC held a hearing from June 5 to 8, 2018 in Oyen and on June 13, 2018 in Calgary to review the applications and submissions received, as indicated in the notice of revised hearing location issued on March 21, 2018.
The Commission estimates that it will issue its decision on or before September 21, 2018.

The Sharp Hills Wind Farm would consist of 83 wind turbines, each rated at 3.6 megawatts, an electrical collector system, a substation referred to as Sedalia 363S Substation and associated wind power plant components.
The Sharp Hills Wind Farm is proposed to be located in Special Areas 3 and 4, within Townships 31 to 33 and Ranges 4 to 6, west of the Fourth Meridian, near Sedalia, Alberta. The Sedalia 363S Substation is proposed to be located in the southwest quarter of Section 16, Township 32, Range 5, west of the Fourth Meridian.
