The AUC is initiating a review of Rule 007: Applications for Power Plants, Substations, Transmission Lines, Industrial System Designations and Hydro Developments. The goal of the review is to update and streamline existing requirements to make the application process more efficient for applicants, interveners and the AUC. Additional information about the review is included in Bulletin 2019-10.

Bulletin 2019-09 outlines new information requirements including both solar glare assessments and shadow flicker assessments that will apply to all new wind and solar energy Rule 007 applications filed on or after October 1, 2019.


April 26, 2019

A comprehensive consultation process resulted in changes to Rule 012 and Rule 007. The changes were announced in Bulletin 2019-05 and the revised rules are effective on August 1, 2019. The matrix of changes and the blacklined version of the rule are available in the consultation documents below and on the Rule 012 consultation page

 

March 22, 2018

The AUC approved changes to Rule 007: Applications for Power Plants, Substations, Transmission Lines, Industrial System Designations and Hydro Developments on March 21, 2018. The following documents are related to the release of the revised AUC Rule 007.
