Status: Ongoing

Last updated: November 19, 2018

Bill 13: An Act to Secure Alberta's Electricity Future gave the Commission the power to introduce specified penalties for contraventions of AUC rules. The first version of the specified penalties rule focuses on AUC rules related to customer care and billing.

Version 1.0

The AUC issued Bulletin 2018-16 to announce proposed revisions to Rule 003: Service Quality and Reliability Performance Monitoring and Reporting for Regulated Rate Providers and Default Supply Providers, to introduce AUC Rule 032: Specified Penalties for Contravention of AUC Rules, to invite interested parties to a consultation to discuss these rules and to invite parties to provide written comments. Participants who wish to provide written comments on the proposed revisions to Rule 003 are encouraged to use the comment table. Because Rule 032 is new, there is no comment table to complete. Instead, written comments will be accepted in Word document format.
