The Alberta Utilities Commission has approved ENMAX Power Corporation's application to relocate a portion of transmission line 7.82L running parallel to 101 Street S.W. in
ENMAX Power Corporation has been approved to
relocate a portion of the 138-kilovolt transmission line 7.82L. The existing
line is located in the Calgary Transportation Utility Corridor and is in
conflict with the construction and planned infrastructure of the West Calgary
Ring Road. Due to conflicts with the West Calgary Ring Road construction and
infrastructure, Alberta Transportation directed ENMAX Power Corporation to
relocate certain portions of the existing line. The relocation is anticipated
to be completed by January 31, 2021.
Proceeding 24831 contains a separate application from ENMAX Power Corporation
to relocate a portion of transmission line 7.82L that runs along 101 Street SW
in Calgary. A notice of application for the Highway 8 Transmission Line Relocation Project was issued on September 6, 2019.
