Overview
Acestes Ventures Ltd.'s application to construct and operate a new 22-megawatt solar power plant in the Coaldale area was approved by the Alberta Utilities Commission in Decision 23821-D01-2019, issued on May 31, 2019.
The applications and submissions received can be accessed through the eFiling System and going to Proceeding 23821. A notice of application was issued on September 26, 2018, asking those that wish to participate in the proceeding to provide their submissions. The 22-megawatt power plant project will be located on approximately 150 acres of private, cultivated land, approximately nine kilometres northeast of the town of Coaldale, to the east and west of Range Road 200 and just south of Township Road 102. The legal land location for the proposed project site is within the northwest quarter of Section 7, Township 10, Range 19, west of the Fourth Meridian, and within the south half of Section 12, Township 10, Range 20, west of the Fourth Meridian.
The project will employ solar photovoltaic modules that convert sunlight into electrical energy, and would be connected to an existing 25-kilovolt FortisAlberta Inc. distribution line located along Range Road 200.

The eFiling System should be accessed to view the applications and the other documents the AUC will be considering in this proceeding. The system is also used to file submissions and evidence to participate in the proceeding.
