Barlow Solar Park Power Plant​

The Alberta Utilities Commission is currently reviewing an application for a 27-megawatt solar power plant in S​outheast Calgary


The Alberta Utilities Commission has approved an applicationfrom Barlow Solar Park Ltd. ​to construct and operate the Barlow Solar Park Power Plant​​, ​a 27-megawatt solar power plant west of Barlow Trail and north of 114 Avenue in the southeast part of Calgary. The project will be located within the southeast quarter of Section 16, Township 23, Range 29, west of the Fourth Meridian. ​

The power plant will consist of approximately 100,000 solar panels grouped into 1,500 rack-mounted solar​ tables on a brownfield si​te.​ No written submissions were provided by the August 25, 2020 deadline so the AUC did not hold a public hearing for this project.​
