Overview
The Alberta Utilities Commission is currently considering a project from Acestes Ventures Ltd. to construct and operate a new 22-megawatt solar power plant in the town of Coaldale. The AUC will be holding a hearing in Lethbridge, Alberta, on April 2, 2019, to review the applications and submissions received, as indicated by the
notice of hearing issued on January 2, 2018.
The project would be located on approximately 150 acres of private, cultivated land, approximately nine kilometres northeast of the town of Coaldale, to the east and west of Range Road 200 and just south of Township Road 102. The legal land location for the proposed project site is within the northwest quarter of Section 7, Township 10, Range 19, west of the Fourth Meridian, and within the south half of Section 12, Township 10, Range 20, west of the Fourth Meridian.
