Overview
The Alberta Utilities Commission is currently considering a project from Acestes Ventures Ltd. to construct and operate a new 25-megawatt solar power plant in the Vulcan area. The AUC will be holding a hearing in High River, Alberta, on January 22, 2019, to review the applications and submissions received, as indicated by the notice of hearing issued on November 2, 2018.
The Alberta Utilities Commission is currently reviewing the applications and submissions received which can be accessed through the eFiling System and going to Proceeding 23645. A notice of application was issued on September 7, 2018, asking those that wish to participate in the proceeding to provide their submissions.
The solar power plant will be constructed approximately 3.5 kilometres southeast of Vulcan that will
connect to FortisAlberta Inc.’s distribution system. It is proposed to be located on 160 acres of land in the northwest corner of Section 22, Township 16, Range 24, west of the Fourth Meridian at the intersection of Township Road 164 and Range Road 243.
Submissions
The eFiling System should be accessed to view the applications and the other documents the AUC will be considering in this proceeding. The system is also used to file submissions and evidence to participate in the proceeding.
