The Alberta Utilities Commission is providing this index as a tool to assist stakeholders in researching issues that are raised frequently during proceedings that consider applications for power plants (including wind, hydro and solar), transmission lines, gas utility pipelines and other facilities. This tool can be used to help stakeholders understand how the Commission has viewed similar issues in previously issued decisions.
The index does not include every facility decision issued by the Commission; therefore, stakeholders should use this tool in concert with the "find" and "search" functions in the eFiling System to find all AUC decisions for a particular application category. Stakeholders are cautioned not to rely exclusively on the index in the preparation of materials to be filed with the Commission. The index is intended as a research tool and is provided for stakeholders' convenience to assist in locating decisions relating to particular issues.
To narrow your search within each category we recommend that you use the dropdown menu (hover over the column title) to select the application type consistent with the proceeding you are participating in and then further narrow down by the issue(s) identified. You can select multiple application types and issues to narrow your results and get access to the decision document provided in the hyperlink.
The decisions displayed in the landmark decisions category were included because they are referred to by the Commission frequently in subsequent decisions or by parties in proceedings. This category may be a good starting point for stakeholders looking for past AUC decisions on a certain application type or for a specific issue.
