The test files provided are subject to Rule 021 and Rule 028 requirements in order to provide timely and accurate tariff billing information
The AUC's Rule 021: Settlement System Code Rules and Rule 028: Natural Gas Settlement System Code Rules defines the business processes and mechanics of how electrical energy and natural gas settlement is to be carried out at the retail electricity and natural gas market (site/meter) level in Alberta. These rules set out the requirements, responsibilities and standards to be followed for load settlement agents, distributors and meter data managers in order to facilitate the implementation of system codes and exchange of information amongst them.
The implementation start
Rule 021 and Rule 028 settlement system codes is Saturday June
22, 2019, at 6 p.m. (Mountain Time). Prior to the implementation, distributors and
retailers will test the Site Identification (SID) catalogue transaction and the Update Customer Information (UCI) transaction files under different scenarios with
each other. The official file testing period is Monday, May 27, to Friday, June
additional testing other than with the SID, distributors and retailers are required to coordinate testing with each other. SID testing files uploaded on the AUC
website follow the naming convention: (Organization)-SID-(File name).
