The AUC had previously placed this proceeding into abeyance pursuant to Rule 001: Rules of Practice, Section 17.1. The aim of putting the application into abeyance was to provide the applicant the opportunity to ensure its application complies with the participant involvement program guidelines of Rule 007. Further information about this decision can be found in the application abeyance letter found in the eFiling System. The AUC has now scheduled hearing dates to begin November 18, 2024 at 9 a.m.
PACE Bang Energy LP applied to construct and operate a 16.1-megawatt solar power plant, designated as the Caroline Solar Project. The project would be located on approximately 57 acres of private, cultivated land, within the urban boundary of the village of Caroline. Specifically, the project would be located within the northeast quarter of Section 14, Township 36, Range 6, west of the Fifth Meridian. The project would connect to the FortisAlberta Inc. distribution system.
