Overview

The AUC will be considering the solar power plant and substation development applications in Proceeding 30067. This proceeding was placed in abeyance on November 4, 2025. More information can be found here.

Eastervale Solar Inc. has applied to construct and operate a 300-megawatt solar power plant located in portions of eight quarter sections, approximately 10 kilometres southwest of the village of Hughenden.

Eastervale Solar Inc. has also applied to construct and operate the Eastervale 1090S Substation located in the northwest quarter of Section 2, Township 40, Range 8, west of the Fourth Meridian. The applications have been filed under the Hydro and Electric Energy Act.
