The AUC is initiating a review of the rules governing cost recovery in rates proceedings to improve participation and encourage efficient, issue-focused proceedings, as set out in the AUC 2021-2024 Strategic Plan. The objective of this consultation is to receive feedback on how Rule 022 can be amended to promote consistent and effective participation in Commission proceedings, and to provide clarity in the rule for participants while also respecting that these costs are ultimately paid by ratepayers and should be limited to what is necessary, efficient and reasonable in the circumstances. More information can be found in Bulletin 2021-18.
