The AUC will be considering the transmission line application in Proceeding 29538.
The City of Medicine Hat has applied to rebuild approximately 20 kilometres of existing 69-kilovolt (kV) transmission lines 30L and 40L between the NE Crescent Heights MHS-5 Substation and the Southridge MHS-3 Substation. The City proposed to rebuild the lines at a 138-kV standard but to initially operate the lines at 69 kV. The application has been filed under the Hydro and Electric Energy Act.
The AUC issued a notice of hearing for this proceeding on January 17, 2025. The hearing is scheduled to begin on June 2, 2025, at 10 a.m.
