The AUC approved, with conditions, an application from Heartland Power Generation LP by its general partner Northbridge Power GPC Inc. to construct and operate the Beacon AI Centers – Heartland Project Thermal Power Plant. The power plant is intended to supply power to a co-located data centre for artificial-intelligence and high-performing-computing facilities.

The AUC held a written hearing to review the application and submissions received to consider the power plant development application in Proceeding 30518.
The eFiling System should be accessed to view the applications and the other documents the AUC will be considering in this proceeding. The system is also used to file submissions and evidence to participate in the proceeding.
