Overview

The Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC), the independent utilities regulator, received electric transmission and power plant development applications in Proceeding 28843. The notice of application was issued on March 27, 2024. This proceeding was placed into abeyance on June 6, 2024, and the applications were withdrawn on October 31, 2024.

Sunrise Solar Project GP Limited had applied to construct and operate a 75-megawatt solar power plant, and an associated substation, designated as the Sunrise Solar Project. The applications were filed under the Hydro and Electric Energy Act. The applications for this proceeding were withdrawn and the proceeding has been closed without further process.
